Assessment and Early Identification

Assessment is one of the interventions in the Early Initiative for Children at Risk prevention programme.

Who is this service for?

The target group for the assessment is every child who gets in touch with the ordinary primary services for children, e.g. the public health center.

What is the aim of the service?

The aim with the intervention is to be able to identify and map children who are at risk of developing behavioral problems as early as possible. Children who are identified during the screening procedure as being at risk are further assessed to determine the appropriate intervention or combinations of intervention in the Early Initiative for Children at Risk prevention programme.

How do we work?

The intervention consists in an offer of a conversation with the parents about potential behavioral problems, followed by step-by-step assessment if necessary.
